September 2022 Meeting Minutes

 

 MINUTES

September 19, 2022

 

Meeting opened at 6:30 PM by Mayor Guido with the Pledge to the Flag. In attendance were Mayor Louis Guido, Trustee Ian Feulner, Trustee Edward Harvey, Linda Bouck, Clerk-Treasurer, and Taylor Miles, DPW Superintendent. Also in attendance were residents Rick Brockman, Frank McGrath, Joint Planning Board Secretary, Barbara Hall, C.V. Museum VP, and Aaron VanBuren, AA Property Care, LLC.

 

 

Approval of the August minutes as members received in written form. It was upon motion of Trustee Feulner, seconded by Trustee Harvey, unanimously carried, to accept the minutes as written.

It was upon motion of Trustee Harvey, seconded by Trustee Feulner, unanimously carried, to accept the report as given.

 

DPW

 

            DPW Superintendent Miles discussed purchasing a utility trailer for water breaks/repairs at last months meeting, and has received the quotes as requested by the Board. A final decision has not yet been made as to which trailer to purchase, but DPW Superintendent Miles was approved to purchase one of lower cost.

            Motion made by Trustee Feulner, seconded by Trustee Harvey, unanimously carried.

            RESOLVED that a utility trailer may be purchased for the DPW for water breaks/repairs.

 

CONSTABLE

            Cherry Valley Joint Planning Board Secretary, Frank McGrath, voiced that the Joint Planning Board has several questions about the possibility of the Village getting a Constable.

The Constable discussion was tabled until next meeting, when more research has been done in order to make a decision.

 

CEMETERY

            Cemetery care taker, Aaron VanBuren, asked that markers be put in to mark each section of the cemetery accordingly. The Board has agreed that this should be done and asked, Linda Bouck, Clerk-Treasurer, to gather the information necessary to make this happen.

 

OTHER BUSINESS

            Resident, and Cherry Valley Museum V.P, has requested that the sidewalk in front of the museum be added to the list of sidewalks to be redone.  She stated that the sidewalk is a hazard and would like to see it fixed.  Mayor Guido told DPW Superintendent Miles to add it to the list of sidewalks that need to be fixed/redone.

            After review by the board, it was upon motion of Trustee Harvey, seconded by Trustee Feulner, unanimously carried to make payment on bills and budget amendments and modifications as follows:
