June 20, 2022

 

Meeting opened at 6:30 PM by Mayor Guido with the Pledge to the Flag. In attendance were Mayor Louis Guido, Trustee Ian Feulner, Trustee Edward Harvey, Linda Bouck, Clerk-Treasurer, and Taylor Miles, DPW Superintendent. Also in attendance was David Lamouret.

 

Approval of the May minutes as members received in written form. It was upon motion of Trustee Feulner, seconded by Trustee Harvey, unanimously carried, to accept the minutes as written.

It was upon motion of Trustee Harvey, seconded by Trustee Feulner, unanimously carried, to accept the report as given.

 

DPW

 

            DPW Superintendent Miles discussed that they are starting the sidewalk on Maple Ave. Superintendent Miles also discussed that the tree in the parking lot next to the bank will most likely have to come down, since it is dead. Superintendent Miles also discussed that the Tahoe is now fully inspected. Superintendent Miles also signed his new contract with the Village which is effective for 3 years.

 

 

CEMETERY

 

            The cemetery fees were discussed and it was upon motion by Trustee Feulner, seconded by Trustee Harvey, unanimously carried, to accept the fees to increase by 50%. The deed transfer for the property behind the Presbyterian Church is in motion.

 

HIGH GRASS LAW AMENDMENT

 

            An amendment will be made to Local Law 1 of 2013 at a public hearing set for July 18, 2022 at 6:30 pm.

It was upon motion of Trustee Feulner, seconded by Trustee Harvey, unanimously carried, to accept the report as given.

 

DPW

 

            DPW Superintendent Miles discussed the bank parking lot being closed for no over night parking on Friday May 27th, and Saturday May 28th for the Memorial Day festivities. Superintendent Miles also discussed that the flowers for the Village should be ready to be picked up and hung up through the Village soon, also discussed were the signs for parking on Village streets. It was upon motion of Trustee Harvey, seconded by Trustee Feulner, unanimously carried, to accept purchasing needed parking signs.

 

 

CEMETERY

 

            Discussion to amend the cemetery information was tabled until the June 20th meeting.

 

INTERNET ANTENNA

 

            Resident Brenda Carpenter presented the Board with information pertaining to radiation and what it can do. Copies of this information will be posted on the Village Website. Ms. Carpenter was concerned that the internet antenna that is on top of the Old School was radiating harmful electromagnetic fields. Mayor Guido has investigated the matter, and has been reassured by Verizon and Spectrum that the antenna has been inoperable since 1988.

            After review by the board, it was upon motion of Trustee Feulner, seconded by Trustee Harvey, unanimously carried to make payment on bills and budget amendments and modifications as follows:
