DPW

DPW Superintendent Valentine discussed the flooding in Alden Field and the concession stand. Once water levels lower, he and Maintenance worker Stacy VanBuren will clean the concession stand out. Superintendent Valentine also discussed the possibility of paving Lime Kiln Rd, but stated that he will have to check the county map to see if it’s part of the Village. DPW Superintendent Valentine stated that he is looking for a contractor to do more sidewalks in 2024, and was asked by the Board of Trustees to look into Job Corps for that. Superintendent Valentine would like to remind everyone that there is NO PARKING on any Village Streets from 2 am to 7 am from October 1st until May 1st, NO EXCEPTIONS. Also, that there is to be NO PARKING on Village sidewalks ever.

WATER RATES/FEES

The new minimum rate for 20,000 gallons will be $172.00 and the rate per every 1,000 gallons used over minimum will be $8.75. These rates will not take effect until the water bill in July of 2024, and will be placed in the Spring/Summer Newsletter.

OTHER BUSINESS

Resident Rick Brockman explained to the Board of Trustees that his home on Lancaster is being foreclosed on and that he has claimed “no contest” on the property.

Secretary of the Joint Planning Board, Frank McGrath asked the Board of Trustees about the wifi in the meeting room, and Mayor Guido stated that he will speak to Tom Garretson about possibly getting a range extender in there for the Joint Planning Board. Frank also informed the Board of Trustees that the CV Library will be going solar, and NYSERDA will meet with whoever is interested to give interested parties more information, and to help with write ups for Grants, and also help keep records. Frank stated that he has reached out to Revolution and will be in contact with them after the 1st of the year. Frank also stated that if the Village and/or Town residents get upgrades, the Village/Town will receive a percentage from those upgrades.
