MINUTES
March 18, 2024
Meeting opened at 6:30 PM by Mayor, Louis Guido with the
Pledge to the Flag. In attendance were Trustee Ian Feulner, Trustee Edward
Harvey, Linda Bouck, Clerk-Treasurer, Wayne Valentine, DPW Superintendent, Eve
Bouboulis, Deputy Clerk-Treasurer, and resident Jill Poulson.
Approval of the February minutes as members received in
written form. It was upon motion of Trustee Feulner seconded by Trustee Harvey,
unanimously carried, to accept the minutes as written.

It was upon motion of Trustee Harvey, seconded by Trustee Feulner,
unanimously carried, to accept the report as given.
DPW
DPW Superintendent Valentine informed the Board of Trustees
that he and Maintenance Worker VanBuren have installed 30 new water meters
since last month’s meeting, and are continuing to do so. Superintendent
Valentine stated that residents should be aware that small debris should be in
paper lawn and leaf bags, or in containers that are easy to manage, and no
plastic bags will be accepted. DPW Superintendent Valentine also stated that he
and Maintenance worker VanBuren are working on a new sign for the entrance of
the parking lot for Alden Field, Alden Apartments, Village and Town Clerks
offices.
WATER
BILL AMOUNTS
An amendment was made to the minimum
amount to be billed for water bills. The amount stated at the February meeting
was $172.00. The amount to be billed for minimum usage will now be $174.00.
RESOLVED, upon motion of Trustee
Feulner, seconded by Trustee Harvey, unanimously carried.
ANNUAL
MEETING & BUDGET HEARING
The Annual Meeting and Budget
Hearing will be held on April 1st, at 6:30 pm. The regular monthly
meeting will be held on April 22nd at 6:30 pm instead of on April 15th.
The legal notice will be placed in the Daily Star.
BUDGET
The Board of Trustees approved the
Tax Rate Increase for the 2024-2025 fiscal year of 0.168 per thousand.
RESOLVED, upon motion of Trustee
Harvey, seconded by Trustee Feulner, unanimously carried.
OTHER
BUSINESS
Aaron VanBuren presented a quote to
the Board of Trustees for caretaking of the Cherry Valley cemetery, and other
Village owned properties. The quote was approved.
RESOLVED, upon motion of Trustee
Feulner, seconded by Trustee Harvey, unanimously carried.
Clerk-Treasurer Bouck was requested to get pricing on more Juniper
plants for the corner of Church St. and Maple Ave by Mayor Guido, and email him
the quotes. Also, Clerk-Treasurer Bouck was asked to make a few changes to the
Spring/Summer Newsletter and then finalize.
AUDIT OF CLAIMS
After review by the board, it was upon motion of Trustee Harvey,
seconded by Trustee Feulner, unanimously carried to make payment on bills and
budget modifications as follows:
