May 20, 2024
Meeting opened at 6:30 PM by Mayor Guido with the Pledge to
the Flag. In attendance were Mayor Louis Guido, Trustee Edward Harvey, Trustee
Ian Feulner, Amy Herr Clerk-Treasurer, Wayne Valentine, DPW Superintendent.
Approval of the April minutes as members received in final written form. It was upon motion of Trustee Feulner, seconded by Trustee Harvey, unanimously carried, to accept the minutes as written.

It was upon motion of Trustee Harvey, seconded by Trustee Feulner, unanimously carried, to accept the report as given.
DPW
DPW Superintendent Valentine reported that they are working to get the Village ready for the Memorial Day Weekend. They are putting out extra picnic tables and garbage cans. He has met with a representative from NY Rural Water and received tips on items at the Well House such as a dehumidifier, spill pan for the Chlorine, venting and keeping a log book for emergencies. Also working on the Lead and Copper rule reporting information.
CHIPS FUNDING
Gave an overview of the amount of money available for CHIPs, EWR, POP and Pave NY for this coming year. Discussion was held on getting a mini excavator for the DPW. Superintendent Valentine to get the specs for what is needed to get bids on this item.
REPORTS TO OSC
The Constitutional Tax Cap and Tax Limit forms have been submitted to the NYS OSC.
EFC GRANT EXTENSION
An extension has been granted on the
EFC grant for the sewer study to November 1, 2024. All approvals must be completed by that date
or the full amount of the grant could be jeopardized.
LEAVE POLICIES
The leave policies will be reverted back to the policies that have been in effect since July 2015. Clarification of some items will be written up for future approval.
CLERK-TREASURER POSITION
Advertising will be done regarding filling of the Clerk-Treasurer position. It will be listed as a Training position with a salary of $18.00 per hour during the training period. The benefits package will be written up and approved before hiring.
OTHER BUSINESS
Accounting Principals and Procedures
Training will be held on June 12-13, 2024 at a cost of $85.00. Motion made by Trustee Feulner, seconded by
Trustee Harvey and unanimously approved,
Resolved that Eve Bouboulis, Dep. Clerk-Treasurer can attend this training via webinar at the cost of $85.00.
Mayor Guido has been in contact with Nathan Waterfield about the Outdoor Games that will be held on June 14-16, 2024. Nathan Waterfield has been provided with the form for use of Alden Field and a request for Certificate of Liability Insurance for the Village.
AUDIT OF CLAIMS
After review by the board, it was upon motion of Trustee Harvey, seconded by Trustee Feulner, unanimously carried to make payment on bills as follows:
